It's Monday! What are you reading? (1)

This is a weekly meme that used to be hosted at J. Kaye's Book Blog but is now hosted at Book Journeys. Basically, you talk about the books you've read last week, and what you've moved on to this week.

So, this is my first time doing this meme. Hopefully it will be a weekly reoccurence on my blog, because it seems like a great way to put my reading in perspective.

Last week:
Yesterday I managed to read and review one book: Lullabies for Little Criminals by Heather O'Neill. It was kind of depressing, but I liked it! I'm not sure if O'Neill has any other novels, but I'm going to keep an eye out for anything else she wrote (or will be writing). I really enjoyed her style.

This week:
On Sunday I started Animals by Don LePan. I have to say, so far it's very odd. But in a good, refreshing way! I'll save the details for a review in the future, but it's very dystopian and philosophical. Not something to be taken lightly! It's also quite short at just shy of 200 pages. However, there's obviously a lot of content that's condensed into those pages, so I feel like it's important to be concentrated and focus solely on the book.

Well, that's what I'll be up to this week! How about you?
