Teaser Tuesdays (2)

Rules: Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
Be careful not to include spoilers! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Book: Animals
Author: Don LePan

I've noticed that this author has a strange writing style - most of his sentences are very long and are on the brink of becoming run-on sentences. It's interesting, though! I think my teaser this week is a great example of this.

"She could hear the noises better when she came to the window, they were like tears, that sort of noise. And they were coming from the veranda, yes, she could hear it clearly, it was just like crying."

Oh, it does sound like an interesting writing style. It verges somewhere between beautiful and a tad confusing for me though. *knocks my hollow head* I'll be interested to hear what you think of it! :D

She must love her commas! I write like that a lot too when I first write a review, but normally I'll go back a change it to sound better.

Oooh, very interesting teaser. Unfortunately, I think that kind of writing style would frustrate me, but I look forward to reading your review!

I agree, very strange. But it is interesting. I'm curious about that noise too! :)

Sometimes the writing style does confuse me! When the sentences are so long it's hard to keep track of what's being said! Overall, though, it's not too bad.
